Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Message Board  

yeah i need help....when i was doing the big heist quest for thieves guild i didnt know i had to kill the monk to get the scroll or whatever so i ran outta there like a maniac and i tried to go back through the old way but when i got to the statue it wouldnt let me go through the door under it because i needed a key and i cant figure out howw to get back through thaT DOOR can anyone help me at all please?!

well you werent/arent supposed to kill the monk, just talk to him to get the scroll

correction you're just supposed to sit in the chair by the big round thing and hil come automaticly and you go up not back try following your arrows.

okay when i tried to talk to the monk.. (was an accident) it said they were on to me so i followed the arrows and it sent me back to the gray fox and it keeps showing that i need to go to him but he doesnt do anything but ask if i have completed my quest... and i went to the door on my own and i need a key.. you think ima have to start over... also i lost those boots down there some how...they just werent there anymore?

yeah the boots of springheel jack disappear after that long fall

you can take them off but you'll die if you're not hi enough
( at least 30! )

you may as well just start the quest over again. without the boots you can't survive the fall unless you're really really high level. sorry dude
