    The Pikachu's don't need to know Volt Tackle. I don't know if the boy can hold the Light Ball, but I know for sure with two Pikachu's, the female holds the Light Ball, so that is your best option.

    thanks for the tip, because i am about to get a pichu with volt tackle once i can trade with my ruby to get a light ball. oh, and neither pikachu has to know volt tackle
