mmkay, i got the golden shovel... but its not all gold. The tip is metally like normal, is that normal. & i havent notices a difference in what i dig. does anyone have it and can you help?

Yes, that's normal for the shovel to look. What it does is that you can dig in random spots, not just places where there is those brown star thingys, and you can find stuff! If you need some extra bells, this helps!

The golden shovel is only 97% gold. Asu said the tip is normal (metal).
The point of it is u can dig random things up by digging anywhere and if u hit rocks, some of them spit up money bags. U hit the rock w/ the shovel and sum of the roks turn gold...and if u keep hitting it it spit out money u can hit it until it turns grey again. U can only do this w/ a GOLD shovel.
It's pretty cool i guess...

also with the golden shovel when you dig in the shining spots and you'll get 1,000 bells instead of 100.

It's not only the golden shovel you can use to get gold out of rocks you can also use a regular shovel instead

To get the golden shovel you will have to buy 2 shovels and bury one in a shiny spot where bells usually are. a golden tree will come and in a few days u come back and theres ur golden shovel!
