They are Z item fusions, I have written a FAQ and submitted it on fusions hopefully it will be published on the site soon for you and others to read.
uummm... i kno u probably get asked this all the time but where do you get all the dragonballs once you've found one can you keep goin back and gettin it until u get all dragon balls please help
Yes, I suggest going to the fight in the majin buu saga(Z Battla gate mode) where you fight Super Buu as SS3 Gotenks, knock down the main building and collect the dragon ball there then defeat buu with your super buu buu rolling ball attack thing (down+L2+up in max power) and then repeat 6 more times and you can make a wish. hope that helped!

I'm not sure what you're really talking about but I do know the secret characters you can unlock with all the dragon balls they include The great ape (gohan and vegeta mode) Goku (Dragon ball version) Master roshi and tao pai pai.
i don't know what they do but i heared how to get them, not sure if this is just a rumor but go into ultimate battle mode, beat 10 guys in a row, leave and you will get the first one, then go back and win 20 times in a row and you will get the 2nd one
(edit) but i heared it just boosts skills a little its not really worth getting, a waste of time i suppose

It is a waste of time I got it already all it does is boost your Dragon Homing up 2 (if I kenw wat that was) anyways it sucks I spent a hour on getting it plus if you do want to get it you have to go to the practice mode on ultimate battle mode I should know,I have them
