Aurora Bug Reports Discussion

Aurora has caused unplayable input lag since I first installed it. This has happened across multiple Windows installations, computer upgrades, and many many games.

PC Specs:
7950x3D (issue occurred on 3900x as well)
3080Ti
Win11Pro (issue occurred on Win10Pro)

For some games, simply having Aurora opened without a trainer launched causes a very tiny amount of input lag, noticeable in fast-paced games. For others, namely intensive 3D games, the input lag dramatically increases once the trainer hooks into the game. It 'buffers' or staggers input sometimes for up to a second before they register in the game.
No other trainers or software does this, I've used dozens. This makes using trainers with games more often than not completely infeasible, as the game is unplayable when trainers are activated.

Troubleshooting steps I've already tried:
Installing Aurora on a different, speedier drive.
Making sure all of my drivers are up to date.
Disabling hardware acceleration.
Closing all other software except Aurora and the game.
Opting in and out of experimental builds.

Please provide an example game along with a video demonstrating the issue. We will then attempt to replicate on the same game and create our own video. thx

This happens on every game and can't really be visually recorded, it's input lag but the inputs do eventually go through. I'd have to record my keyboard alongside gameplay. No one else tends to have this problem, I posted about it on the discord months ago.

Is there any other way to help you troubleshoot the issue?

Not unless we can SEE it happen and MAKE it happen. Most likely you have something else running on your system, either as a service or in the background that is also polling/monitoring input and thus colliding/interfering with Aurora trying to do the same thing at the same time. I use Aurora every day and have NEVER experienced any kind of lag in the hundreds of games I have played with it.

This video will take a bit to process into HD, so it's hard to tell what's going on, sorry. The file is way too large to upload with ShareX.

In the video you should be able to see how once the trainer activates, keyboard inputs start being queued. It's like when a video freezes, except the game is still running like butter. All of my other applications are running fine, nothing slows down except my inputs. It also applies to the mouse scroll wheel and other device inputs, like controllers.
Mouse movement remains smooth, gameplay is smooth, recording is smooth. I can close all other applications except just Aurora and the game and the issue will still happen.

Please provide screenshots of Task Manager showing ALL running background processes plus the Startup Apps tab. Also a screenshot of your system tray area expanded to show all apps.
