I'm having the same issue as Giarvan: Whenever I try to activate something in the trainer, it fails to activate and I get a debug error stating Script error in line 1: The module name 'game.dll' does not exist!. I have attempted to activate the cheats both in-ship and on-planet, having restarted the game and Aurora between attempts in hopes that the cheats just needed to be activated in a certain 'phase' of gameplay. I have not had any success.

Hi!
Not sure if this will help you guys but it worked for me. I at first got the same fail as you guys. Then I realized that I had two Gameguard.des files. One was in the bin folder in the description. When I edited that one I got the startup error crash. However in the same area I also had a GameGuard folder in the bin. In that GameGuard folder there was another GameGuard.des file that when edited per the description of the trainer did not cause a crash or cause the missing game.dll error after activation. Hope this helps you guys! The trainer seems to be working for me now but I can't actually get into the game to test it with the whole server overload going on.

It's worth noting that once the game realizes that the GameGuard.des file has been renamed, it will auto-download a new one so keep an eye on the folder if you are trying subsequent times and its not working. I personally did not have to rename BOTH GameGuard.des files to make it work, only the one in /bin but if it helps to rename them both then no harm in it. Again just watch for the file being re-downloaded in the background.

Friend, you are forgetting to put it in Steam first, in settings, and the 1st step, Steam restart options, you enter --delay_gameguard_init, then, , into the LAUNCH OPTIONS for the game in STEAM. If you plan to LAUNCH the game using AURORA, you will also need to put it in the TRAINER SETTINGS under GAME ARGUMENTS.
Make sure AURORA is already running and the trainer for HELLDIVERS 2 is pulled up.
RENAME the file
GameGuard.des
usually here:
C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Helldivers 2\bin
to:
GameGuard2.des
Launch the game from steam and as soon as you see AURORA says GAME RUNNING, you activate the trainer VERY QUICKLY, otherwise you will get a GAMEGUARD error.

OK guys, here is a video recorded 2 mins ago showing all the steps. TIMING IS IMPORTANT. As soon as you click PLAY in Steam and screen goes black, hit F1 to activate the trainer. You have about a 2 sec window.

Once again thank you so much. 😁

I appreciate the suggestion Genghis_Quan96 and PWizard. However, changing the GameGuard.des file to be GameGuard2.des in the bin folder and in the GameGuard folder inside the bin folder did not resolve the The module name 'game.dll' does not exist! error. I did notice that in the video, contrary to what the instructions are, the GameGuard.des file was not renamed to GameGuard2.des and instead had the extension changed. If that is the correct thing to do, can you please update the instructions? The text is too small for me to read what extension you changed it to in the video, but I assume that's where the issue is coming from.
It is possible that I'm activating the trainer too soon, which would also make sense given the error being output. I'll try holding off until a second into the screen going black and will update findings.

Timing was the issue it seems. Waiting about a second after the screen turned black before activating has been successful. Thank you all
