So within the last month Aurora has been using up way more GPU than it should. Hardware acc is off and yet its still using GPU. To the point where I cant actually use Aurora anymore since it tanks the performance of not just games but my entire rig. An nvidia RTX 3070 and Ryzen 7 5800x should not be getting bogged down by one program and yet its happening.

It's likely some other app on your PC + Aurora that is causing the issue and not Aurora alone or else we would have over 1M people here complaining about the same thing. I would recommend deleting the Aurora settings folder and also the Aurora folder and then re-download. Reboot and see what happens. You can then start troubleshooting by turning off various Aurora settings like HWA and In Game Overlay. Then start turning off other apps you have running, especially any that have anything to do with gaming and/or video capture, etc. See if there is a log.txt file in the Aurora folder. See if there is anything in Event Viewer. Eventually you will determine what isn't playing well with Aurora or if maybe it just needed a good reset.

Did you recently updated your graphic card driver? Do you have changed a display setting or your monitor? Like Pwizard said, it must be something on your end. With HW acceleration off I rather believe its a driver bug or a windows settings.
