First of all the Aurora Overlay gamebar is not showing when I press Win+G

I can start the Aurora Overlay manually, I can connect, but it doesn't also show up when using CTRL-G.

CTRL+G is not a hotkey for the overlay at all. As for Win+G, you have to open it manually once. After that you can pin it by clicking at the pin icon next to the close icon.

What does this mean then:

The Aurora Overlay will allow you to activate the trainer options and cheats right from within the game using CTRL+G. No more alt+tab, now you can have them at your fingertips.

I still have to Alt+Tab.

It means its a typo. The command is Win+G. Which opens the Windows gamebar (on Windows 10 and above, must be enabled in windows settings). The gamebar is above everything, which means it show up in fullscreen games. Which means, no more alt+tab.
