It's a Windows issue, not a Trainer Manager issue. Even after getting today's Win 10 updates the permissions still have to be set by the user, Does not seem they are getting inherited anymore like they used to.

I managed to give the authorization by adding my microsoft mail account in the security options of the Trainer folder, and it worked so you have to have these accounts in security option
authenticated users systems microsoft mail @ live.fr accounts <----- required! total control 😎this is the solution Administrators Users

I have followed the procedure and want to make a correction for those who have a Microsoft account and not a local account like the procedure given. I hope the example with image will help, I translated a few elements so as not to disturb English speakers too much.
First capture: Link The above procedure for local accounts, not linked to a Microsoft address.
Second capture: Link Procedure for microsoft accounts, clearly identical with the difference that you should not choose "Users".
Tested and this time it works but I persisted in following the indication of a local account
($toBe || !$toBe) == this.theQuestion();

Those instructions were done on my signed in Microsoft account.

in my opinion this problem comes from windows 10 with the 20h2 update, which no longer allows to be able to use local accounts and requires users to have an online account to use windows 10

Great work! However, still getting the read-only error message. Unfortunately, I have tried everything windows side and effective permissions come up correctly with full access, but the application continues to error out. There is no log to determine why, but likely a check is involved. I have tried various suggestions form this thread, but none have done the trick. I will wait for an update from the community on this. 😐

Ah thanks for those instructions CyPHeR369, got it working around the new read access and running in admin did the trick.
