All previous versions of the trainer worked fine, this version 0.148.6 just displays this error

Any ideas?

Please delete the trainer, custom keys, debug folder where the trainer resides and all files in

C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Temp
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens\Work
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming\Cheat Happens\0x90
C:\ProgramData\CheatHappens

Reboot PC to clear excess memory, get a fresh copy of latest trainer and extract it. Run trainer as admin, read the instructions and try again. At times, a new game may be needed to resolve failed options if the data in your save file was altered. Use on a new game and test the option. If it now works, quit to main menu and load your save and try it again. May also need to run the game without the trainer first and play a bit so the save file gets updated to use possible new values. This typically will resolve the issue.

This cleaner is also part of the new Cheat Happens Trainer Manager 2.0, it is found in the settings and has an easy to use one button click feature.

Hi CyPHeR369 😃, I made that .bat file and executed it properly and verified the results. shut down my pc, restarted and turned off firewall and antivirus, right clicked and ran Valheim as admin, started a new character on a new world, played for a bit, logged out, logged back in, right clicked and ran trainer as admin, switched back to Valheim, played for a bit, gaining skills, did a world save through F5 save command, switched to trainer, hit F1, switched back to Valheim and the game crashes and gave the same error as the other user.

Did I miss a step or do something wrong? 😩

I always use my .bat file before and after every trainer use so I don't forget. Sometimes you may need to load in without the trainer let your character save and exit, then try again with the trainer.

Also using the bepinex .dll file assembly stripper for mods can cause this, you need to disable it in vortex or what ever mod manager you use. This only applies if you modded the game as it has to be vanilla for the trainer to work right.

I tried it just for the "remember IP dammit" mod and it gave me an error as well. Disabled bepinex and all was good in the world.

I don't use mods, so we can rule that out. I've also started the trainer and game in so many different combinations, using your bat file between sessions, that I started repeating the sequences on accident 😜

This is one of the rare times where a CH trainer doesn't work, the vast majority always do without issue, glad to hear its still working for you though!

It couldn't have something to do with having a CH offline key or having -console in the startup line, or having the game play as a local server or not?

I have an offline key, tried with -console and without and as server without -console.

Those are the last things I can think of that would be causing me issues, my entire system is up to date with drivers and other updates.

Do you have the latest trainer and game version?

Extract trainer and make sure trainer/launcher/editor is in a folder excluded from virus scans. Empty quarantine folder if needed or set anything trainer related (paths and EXE's) to ALLOW. Disable any Live/Active/Real-Time tools which may trigger false positives in security software which may terminate the game/trainer when it's activated or options used.

may need to be added to exclusions as well. Run trainer as admin, read the instructions and try again.

Something has definitely changed with this trainer and the latest update. Followed all your instructions and still shows up with the same error. I have no mods installed. It's a clean slate.
