Did the usual and updated drivers, verified game, and it crashes before it even starts. Disabled GOG overlay and Nvidia overlay, verified again. Same.

I have a 6 month old Alienware M17R4 with an RTX2080 Super. If anyone has sucess fixing this I would appreciate it.

To be clear, this is not a trainer issue, the trainer isn't even running.

    Thanks,
    Simon

Optimization for the game isn't the greatest, it is heavy on CPU, it will likely crash if your CPU can't handle it.

    Thanks Caliber

    Sapphire,

I should have added that the game crashes before it actually displays anything at all. The CPU is only a few months old, its a 6 core i7-10750H, so I don't think it is the problem. All of my drivers are up to date from the Alienware (Dell) website.

    Thanks!

Try bumping the nvidia optimization down 5-10 dots in the nvidia game experience, hopefully this lets you start it up! If success once at the main menu of game then open windows task manager then under details tab and set the cp2077 priority* to real time priority similar to the GTA V trick! Hopefully this helps ya man! It got my 5-6fps dips to 2-3 and no CTD after! EVGA 2070 Super XC edition latest Nvidia game ready drivers as well.😎

OK I have managed to get the game to run. But I have to use the exe directly than through steam or the launcher as it insta crashes. So far no fix yet.

So have to play it by running from the exe in the game directory.

    Hi Sam,

I couldn't find a setting for optimizing just Cyberpunk, so I turned off all optimization.

    Servius,

Starting from the exe produces that same fail.

Thanks both. I love the support that this community has!

I also have the same issue. I got the GOG version and running it on my 2070 Super with the latest nVidia drivers and then BAM!! CTD!!! Either I wait for the day one patch. It is an intermittent issue so I don't know.....I play for 5-15 minutes then crash! And this is without the trainer.
