Game Crashing! on Cyberpunk 2077 PC Message Board - Page 2

Did the usual and updated drivers, verified game, and it crashes before it even starts. Disabled GOG

So your running the cyberpunk2077.exe from in the file above?

if so try running it in admin mode.

Hi Jonathan,

I actually can't get the game to load at all. From reading around the various boards there seems to be a problem after the initial cut scenes with the game using an AVX instruction on the CPU. Older CPUs don't have AVX instructions.

Damn, I was excited about the Admin mode idea, but still the same. I have the GOG version, so I'm running it from:

C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64

if you have not try disbaling the overlay that was another fix some folk said worked for them.

Ryzen 3's and 5's work with the game. There is a chance other people have other apps installed that is interfering with the game, such as multiple AVs on the one PC which I have always told people is a bad thing, or various debuggers set to attach to processes when they are launched.

People with the G versions of the Ryzen family are able to play too.

It is difficult to pinpoint what is the main problem because not everyone is tech savvy or knows how to check things, so they instantly will blame the game as being the main problem.

Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA
