Rolling 20s likely isn't so much needed as having the trainer boost 3 stat groups: Proficiencies, Ability Scores, & Saving Throws, which all drop the requirements for the roll. With high enough proficiencies it always just needs a 1, so any roll wins. That might be easier or harder, I'm still not sure how the game tracks those numbers
i really couldn't find Proficiencies in numbers in game. Only +1,2,3,4 to them. And inspiration points not save on not-dialogue rolls.
and all you described will need for success roll actually. So simpler be add success roll option. And it can be done. There's ce tables in internet with functioning opt already.
In context, it gives you a 2nd attempt at a failed proficiency check.
Ah, thanks much. Didn't know this mechanic existed. At this point I would really like a roll20 option in the trainer, I'm still trying to save the little girl in the Druid camp lol. Save scumming isn't cutting it 😂
Save scumming using that mage teammate, nature check with 15, that's how I did it.
And yea, I really want a roll20 as well.
There is a ce cheat will make dice check pass even number check failed, u could try that. I couldn't guarantee result tho since I didn't try it myself, and I'd rather wait for trainer to have roll20 option.

apparently the game doesnt use the values we've isolated like it does for attacks.
This game was a nightmare to work on. We had a trainer out for it about 48 hours before anyone else. As I have posted elsewhere, now maybe two times, a STAT EDITOR that remains PERMANTENT is likely NOT POSSIBLE in real time in a trainer. You likely need a savegame editor for this. I went down this rabbit hole for hours and hours. There is hard coded, multiple places, including in LOADS where the max rating of 30 is as high as the game will allow, and the stats are stored in no less than 5 locations in real time. Isolating them ALL and deciding which copy of the variable is being used where is an exercise in insanity.
I've done the best I can with it. Clearly modifying the STR for melee attacks WORKS. If the stats editor isn't useful for combat, then let me know and I will remove it.
best,
