That error usually means the needed code in the game has not been generated yet, I would at least finish the tutorial and actually get a usable team in game.

I'll have to try it again when I'm home from work. They used the team points in the tutorial so I had thought the code would've been generated.

Edit: Went out of the town and fought some enemies and the option still wasn't working.

Delete trainer and all files in

Reboot PC to clear excess memory, get a fresh copy of latest trainer and extract it. Run trainer as admin, read the instructions and try again. At times, a new game may be needed to resolve failed options if the data in your save file was altered. Use on a new game and test the option. If it now works, quit to main menu and load your save and try it again. May also need to run the game without the trainer first and play a bit so the save file gets updated to use possible new values.

I might be late to the party... but I found out why you had this issue. For future reference, you must go to the in-game menu and go to "Medals and Stats". Selecting your character from there will allow stat cheats to pass from ?? to values. From there you'll have the leasure to set your stuff up like YOU want.

PS: Current build works with Steams 1.1.1 version.
