I got it for "free" is a big word as i pay yearly for premiere, but some of the games and dlc i get is worth as some weapons or armor is not avaible as normal means because of special events.

What if you buy it on origin? or they have regional crap there as well?
Either ways .. not sure if possible with this .. maybe use vpn/proxy to fool the system that you are in a area where it is cheaper?

I would agree that it's good nostalgia - but it does show its age even as a remaster. Some games just need to die off gracefully and I think this is one of them. This game proves that it isn't just visuals that improved, but AI, tracking, unit and ability balancing, and more diverse unit and gaming mechanics.

After about one play through, the game quickly lost its luster. Still worth reliving it just for only a few days.

It would be well worth paying if there were no bugs in the game. But there are way too many bugs in this remastered game. Not even able to build Sub pen in the water even though construction base is near water. Not able to build any building easily as AI keeps on saying cannot build here, cannot build here when area near base is good enough to build! Even MCV cannot be deployed easily as AI restricts deploying MCV easily near ore! It is really frustrating! I wish Build anywhere option is added in the Trainer list so this AI cannot build anywhere bug is overridden!
