I've not heard of this issue besides yourself and that other poster. Do you remember which options you had activated during that sequence? I would suggest restarting the campaign if you're unable to continue, that's what I would do anyway. If you can remember what was activated can you list it here? Perhaps we can narrow down what caused the issue, if it indeed was caused by the trainer.
@Pardalis: Thank you for that info. Definitely going to attempt that this playthrough since I did "hardcore" again. Should be much easier to complete on this difficulty. I wonder if we can go back down that elevator after to collect all that gear. Will need to test that. Would be a shame to leave it all behind. 😆
I normally lurk so this is my first post. Just a heads-up, I'm on the Z version of this game, so maybe there are some code differences that's causing the crashes.
1. The game will crash when I load a save if I activate the trainer on the main menu. It works fine if I activate it after I load the save.
2. However, the game will crash when I make a save with the trainer activated.
3. Reset Gameplay Clock, No Reload, No Recoil comes up with a "Script error in line 1: Cannot find aob" for either of them.
Besides the above 3 issues, everything else works as intended. I've attach a save file, though I'm on the Z version I read that it's not interchangeable with the base game so it's probably moot, but here it is anyway.
In the mean time, I guess I'll finish the game in one sitting with the working options.
Is the Z version just the normal version that's in the US or does it have more gore...etc than the US version? Because I'm extremely curious to know if the Z version has the dismemberment/gore that was in RE2R. In the US RE3R version zombie arms just "explode" when dismembered as opposed to RE2R where the limbs actually fell off and remained in the scene.
I know that Japanese versions of the game have toned down gore and such but I just read that there were two versions released in Japan. The Z (18+) and the D (17+) or base version that is toned down.
Unfortunately it feels like the Z version is still pretty watered down, which is a shame since that kinda takes away one more thing from an otherwise already short game.

That's unfortunate. The downgrade in gore and effects in the US version was quite disappointing, I highly agree with you on that. While I still do really love the game, and Resistance for that matter, I would have much prefered no Resistance and a longer game. The cuts they made are quite noticable. To an extent I feel like RE3R didn't get the same love as RE2R and I feel Resistance is to blame. We lost the choice mechanic, whole locations, and also Nemesis development. There is really nowhere for him to truly show off as Mr.X was able.
As I said, I do love the game but for sure I agree it's disappointing on some levels. I'm wondering if any DLC are in the works as was for RE2R. I could see DLC for Resistance but unfortunately, for me at least, that takes a backseat to RE3R.
