Must have been, because the previous trainer for Halo CE ANNIVERSARY 10.03.2020 worked no problems, trainer found game.
Tried your method by moving the exe to desktop, no luck.
Tried taking full ownership of the windowapps folder, still the same issue of trainer not finding game.
Going to try a different Halo with associate trainer and see if it's game specific.

Having a tester check it for me (Win/GP), awaiting results. I know it works for Steam cuz I checked it last night.

Okay, tested other Halo games that are part of the Master Chief series on Xbox Pass. None of the trainers can find their respective games
Obviously seems like this just affects the XBox pass version of the games and not Steam versions.

I have already send messages to have it looked into or advice for an alternate launch method, This title is not one of the favorites especially for gamepass. Would not expect a fast turn around on this one. That and I think Caliber took a few, well deserved, days off.

As you said, it's just Gamepass that's the problem. As for alternative launch method, there is a option to launch the Halo games with anti cheat disabled and mods enabled through GamePass. Maybe that's one way around it.

Yes, I already tried that and unfortunately still doesn't work. Meant when you guys have time to look at the Halo trainers for Gamepass or advice for launch method. As that one that disables anti cheat and allows mods still doesn't allow trainer to find game.

To Start Gamepass version without EAC:

type:
Explorer.exe Shell:AppsFolder from a command prompt

Drag APP SHORTCUT TO DESKTOP from the folder that opens.

Run Shortcut

Try trainer.

I have no other suggestions.
