Regarding trainer closing after opening (as of August 06, 2021), I found the issue was related to windows defender seeing the trainer and associated files it creates as a threat and blocks them. I had to add a few exclusions to the windows defender so it would stop flagging CH trainers as threats.

Tried all sorts (including reinstalling ect) but still asked to install it.

My fix was to install the previous version of .net.

Hope this helps for anyone thats stuck.

Today i tried to start a trainer and i have the same problem described in the first post of this thread. I didnt uninstall or update anything. Yesterday it worked, today it didnt. In my case its the Trainer for "Knights of Pen and Paper"

The funny thing is that the the trainer (Hand of Fate 2) with a "newer look" (i dont know how its called, runtime or so i think) works perfectly. The trainer dont closes on start.

Re-download and select repair if given for all of the following. Windows updates can break them.

Have all of the following installed.

.NET Core 3.1 Desktop Runtime x86 Link
.NET Core 3.1 Desktop Runtime x64 Link
.NET Core Current Runtime x86 Link
.NET Core Current Runtime x64 Link
.NET Framework (get latest) Link

(Both x86 and x64 of the .Net Core MUST be installed)

Reboot PC when done.

I reinstalled all of them. It didnt work. Did this solution helped anyone here in the thread ?

I realy dont think that its something with my computer. I used a backup from a point where the trainer definetly worked. Now it dont work.

A few days ago the "Knights of Pen and Paper" Trainer worked perfectly. Then it said that the Cheathappens website is offline (The site was online) and only worked with the offline key and know it dindt work at all. It only shows the splash screen. The same applies for the Dragon Age Inquisition Trainer.

Then we have the trainer for Hand of Fate. I downloaded this trainer and it says that i should connect my computer the the internet or use the offline key (My computer is connected) But only if i use the offline key this trainer works.

And then there is the trainer for Hand of Fate 2 which works perfect like every other new trainer.

I dont know whats wrong.

What OS are you using?
