Thanks for replying. I have done as you suggested, played the game without the trainer, levelled up, increased Skills and XP and I am still having the same problem.
XP, Skills values stay as ?? despite tabbing into the character screens. I don't know what else I can do?
Did you run the trainer as an administrator?
Yeah 🙁 I've followed all of the steps that have been advised.
I haven't played Outer Worlds for many months and I had a save that I would have used with a previous trainer. However using the latest trainer and the first trainer gives me the same error.
I had uninstalled Outer Worlds and only just recently reinstalled it so the same location, not sure if that is causing any issues. I've also tried starting a new game, playing for about half an hour with regular saves, upskilling etc but when I run the trainer I just get the same fail error each time. I have other trainers for other games and have no issue, it's only with this one game. It's really confusing.
Verifying the game files from your distributor can be useful (STEAM, EPIC STORE, GOG, WINDOWS STORE or XBOX GAMEPASS FOR WIN).
Or the trainer need to be updated...
Also, "You can activate the options that give you extra points during character creation, but you shouldn't activate anything else at all, or modify any values until you've visited at least one vendor." a good point from @Dimak4422 in a previous post.

There seems to be something wrong with the trainer. I just downloaded it for the first time, newest version, and tried to run it but it crashes every time before it even loads fully. After the first couple of times I have noticed that it says that the Cheat Happens website is offline and then it says to download an offline key to use the trainer offline.
Actually I just tried with another trainer and it says the same thing, for some reason they are acting as if I am not online, but I am. No anti virus blocking them, no proxies, nothing.
*Edit* Never mind, just saw the thing about the DNS server problems.

yous may not be related to the DNS issues if you are not seeing the message that CH is offline in the splash screen. See this page for tips.

If you are able to get to the site then get the offline key, to make the trainers work while the site issues are being fixed. (may need to unplug the internet before loading the trainer, once trainer in offline mode you can plug it back in)

No it is showing the website is offline on the trainer, I wasn't seeing it because it is only there for a moment before the trainer crashes.
You may want to put in a condition for when you aren't online so the trainer doesn't crash. Something like if its offline then it brings up a popup window saying that it needs to be online, and clicking Ok on it closes the trainer.
