Yes i am using the Epic version of the trainer , i wanted to try deleting the files suggested in this forum post and reboot the PC before i made a request.
Edit: i just found a post about a hotfix that was applied today .

Yup, added new content and hotfix. New Takedown is insane btw...

Hello, logged at 11pm after hotfix download, now trainer give me this error and won't attach:

23:20:54: Successfully attached to Borderlands3
23:21:00: Collect Guardian EXP, Script error in line 16: LuaRuntimeException:
Cannot find AOB

I suppose the trainer need a update. EPIC version of game.

shouldn't the trainer recognize a change in the game version after a hotfix? why does it still say current? did the game version not change with the hotfix?

No, the trainer doesn't read the game version and automagically update itself to it. We rely on PEOPLE to tell us there has been a game update and that the current trainer doesn't work with it, THEN in a reasonable amount of time we update the trainer to it.
