RE4 HD DEV version Fix on Resident Evil 4 HD PC Message Board - Page 1

For anyone who is getting the 1.0.0RELEASE_DEV 0 version of the game when downloading from STEAM, here is a link to where you can find a working STEAM bio4.exe 1.0.1.18384.1 version to be used with trainer #3. Tested and working. THIS SHOULD ONLY WORK IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED THE GAME THROUGH STEAM as it will look for the steam_api.dll linked to your account.

goes in folder C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Resident Evil 4\Bin32

Thank you very much for this. I submitted an update request for version 1.1.0 but this fix worked wonderfully... My apologies for not checking the boards first! 😭

I am on 1.1.0 And I have tried this method as well. I made another post about the HD mod most people are now using because i really updates the game to current gen textures. I think the HD mod is what is changing peoples game version to 1.1.0. When I try to use this EXE I get a Fatal Error that says " Steam must be running to play this game".

www.re4hd.com/?page_id=6064. This is the link to the mod and it updates any RE4 HD version to 1.1.0. It also puts the game at 60fps.

If you wont update the trainer it is fine. I know you guys have other stuff to worry about but I was wondering if you can at least confirm this is what is causing the issue and getting everyone on 1.1.0.

Restarted steam. That seemed to fix the fatal error. launched game through steam not the exe directly. Trainer Version 3 is working now. Sorry for the post.

I tried this and the trainer says activated and all that and the numlk keys are being recognized in-game but nothing changes, it literally doesnt do anything but make noise... 😣

Thank you SO much for this! I was digging around for a trainer that actually works with my version of the game (purchased a year ago on Steam), only to find that I should have just read the message board here. Can confirm that if one follows the directions in the OP and uses trainer #3, the trainer works.
