There is a Problem with the Set level option, your level increases to 10 but your mesmerise level resets to 1.
I found this on the Internet:
Increasing the mesmerize skill isn’t as simple as leveling up the other abilities in Vampyr, as it is tied directly to quests. This means that to level it up, players will simply have to play through the main quest. For instance, after reaching Whitechapel and talking with Nurse Dorothy Crane, Dr. Reid’s mesmerize level will increase to 2.
So just keep playing and Mesmerise will increase "naturally".
Regarding general level up:
I just gave me 100,000 XP and then increased all skills manually. By that my real level increased normally and I was able to upgrade most of the skills. In the End, I wasn't fully able to upgrade all Ultimate skills.
So I recommend, you set both the XP Cheats to 160,000 or even 200,000. Then you can upgrade all skills without a problem.
You need to be level at least 36 for the highest Ultimate skill.
I am really looking forward for "free item upgrade" options. Thanks in advance.

How did you manage to use the xp cheats without the level resetting to 1?
@Dakkatakk; they updated the trainer after the XP issue was reported.
I did download the latest trainer. I started playing way after the updated trainer was released. Once I tried the first XP option it began to reset me to 1 every time I leveled up an ability. I tried the new option and once I leveled up one ability it threw me to level 12 but did not reset the level like the first one. I activated the new XP cheat again but it just leveled me up again instead of giving me more XP to spend on the abilities. I am assuming I am doing something wrong then if the first option is not resetting my level.

Thanks for your reply however even through the Mesmerise level increases with the story, what i'm saying is it resets to 1 if you use the xp and change level options

I tried what was recommended and it worked so thank you for that guys. However that resetting of Mesmerize worries me. Maybe as soon as you get the first bed to level up do all of that leveling there and then continue the story as is and Mesmerize should level properly... hopefully
