i have not downloaded the new version but the latest version i have works great, no issues and it automatically loads the game. so no mixup.

This issue is with Uplay and not the trainer. I'm guessing you have the steam version of the game. Fix your administrative permissions with Uplay.

I had to uninstall Uplay entirely and re-install it from their website before it worked properly because the latest Uplay patch screwed up my Uplay permissions.

Let go of the "reel in" button for a split second before holding it again. It resets the line tension back to green. If you hold the button the entire time, the line tension acts normal and will break eventually. Reel until the line turns color, let go then quickly start reeling again, and so on until you land the fish.

The problem with the trainer released on April 5th is that it somehow damages a game file (FC_m64.dll) that results in the game not launching when trying to launch it when not wanting to use the trainer (e.g. to play co-op). The previous trainer did not do this. If I launch the trainer, as per instructions, it launches the game and I play the game. When done, I quit to desktop. I also quit u-Play. If I then try to launch the game to play online (without the trainer) U-Play launches but the game never launches. Steam says Running but then stops. If I then verify the games files via Steam it finds a damaged file and wants to reacquire it. I let it reacquire the file and the the game will launch properly when launched normally without using the trainer. However the next time I use the trainer the game runs fine but after quitting the problem repeats itself.

Trainer was working brilliantly on 4/4 last night, downloaded 4/5 and now niether trainer will launch the game, just launches the UPlay window, and stalls.

I do not own the Steam version. I bought mine through UPlay store.

I have seen fixes for the steam version listed, but none for the UPlay version. Just cant seem to get the trainer to fire the game up now at all. and after running 4/5 the game automatically downloaded files again, and when i went to restart the game it had to go through all the DX .Net installs again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you're having problems launching with the newest trainer, try this:

I got it to work by going ONLINE in uPlay, updating, verifying files, let it redownload corrupted files, restart uPlay, LAUNCH GAME ONLINE WITHOUT THE TRAINER and it should launch fine, quit out, GO OFFLINE, launch OFFLINE WITHOUT TRAINER, it should launch fine, quit out, then launch OFFLINE WITH TRAINER.

The trainer works fine but every time you end a game session, you'd have to "verify Integrity of Game Files" to be able to play again. It seems to be breaking a file every time you run it. Oh and a question! Is it okay to run the trainer in Arcade Solo/Co-op? Would like to get those community challenges out of the way.
