My char is stuck sub 80 as 'Max Lvl' and I cannot level up. I may have bricked my save by putting too large a value into the exp modifier. I don't mind starting over, but I'd like to know... is it a bad idea to use the exp cheat at all? Or is it okay to use, but there's a cap on what you can set the individual value to before it breaks the game, like 100k?
EDIT: Forgot to mention, this is Steam, v 1.21 (and latest trainer version). I am in Act 2.

In any game that lets you set the exp gain manually I find its best to go just under the max number for a level and get the rest legitimately. Like alot of others it seems to activate properly this way.
Hmm... have you had success using the exp cheat and not breaking your save? Grinding is really boring, but I don't want to restart my game a second time cause I messed it up.
My trainer works fine. I use the default hotkeys and play with 1,3,4,6,and / on. With those active if i start my fortress mission in game, everything works but as soon as i open the boss door i die.
