Anyone else having an issue with the trainer not being able to find the game?

Hey, can anyone help me figure this out. The trainer says it can't find the game and that the game isn't running when it is, and even if I use the Launch Game button through the trainer. Is the trainer just outdated or is something else the issue?

So I tried downloading and using the trainer separately through a different file location, which yielded the same result as downloading and launching through the TM. If anyone has any idea how to fix this issue, or any other ideas of what to try to get this to work, i'm all for it.

Caliber answered this for a couple of other games, here's what he suggested:

Run trainer (As Admin)
Run game
At the main menu, press F1 to activate the trainer
Trainer should say 'trainer activated!'

If you don't hear anything, alt + tab out to the trainer and try F1 again
If you still cannot find game --

1) game isn't running (make sure the game is running, check task manager)
2) something is blocking the trainer
3) the trainer has no administration rights

If it's still saying can't find game, then you might have an older version of the trainer somewhere.
Delete your trainer and any copies you may have, clear your internet cache, and re-dload the latest trainer.

It looks for all versions of the game and attaches to it. If you still get the message then you have some different named version of the game than expected.

Maybe the 100th time will click. Tech is a fickle thing. I'm running Star_US. Also I shouldn't have an older version since I only got the game a few days ago and that's when I started trying this trainer. Any other solutions would be welcomed.

Alright, well, here's some comments PWiz wrote awhile back about it:

Please disable/uninstall all antivirus, firewall and other security software including browser addons and extensions.

Right click "Run as Administrator" on trainer and game. Please note that some security products may still block access to trainer injection even when disabled and must be completely uninstalled. If this is the case, please contact the product vendor for instructions on the proper way to prevent the trainers from being blocked by their software or find a better alternative.

Make sure you're running the game and trainer As Admin. Run trainer, run game, alt- tab to trainer and press F1 to activate while in game. Alt - Tab to game and use options. If not working then your game does not match the version of the trainer or something is blocking it.

Have you tried activating the game first, be in the game and move around, then activate the trainer, then alt-tab out to the trainer and press F1? See if it might find the game.

Also, have you tried booting up in Safe Mode with no antivirus at all running, then try it?

Alright, thanks for the help, I will be trying all this stuff tomorrow. Hopefully something works. I just thought it was weird that this one trainer of the ones I have downloaded refuses to work thus far. Like I said hopefully one of these suggestions work.

Weird? Maybe. Or maybe not. Consider this, once again from PWiz:

Never assume that any one trainer will work like any other, especially when it comes to security products that may block one out of every 200 trainers for who knows what reason. We use different file signatures, security templates, trainer templates, injection methods and other things all the time. No two trainers are the same.
