As of 11/11/20 At startup, Trainer says "Please Wait", and the "Game Found, Trainer Activated" icon turns green at the lower-left corner, however, I do not get the "Trainer Activated" Audio notification and none of the hotkeys do anything. Then if I mouse click in the window I get the standard windows "This Program is not responding" dialog box. The trainer file has been excluded from any Virus Scan or interference by Norton. Could running mods through Frosty Mod Manager be causing this? I don't see how since it was working the last time I played which was just a few days ago. But now it just doesn't work. Thoughts?

Mods can alter the memory locations the trainer is looking for, so yes it is possible. Mods and Trainers don't work well together in a lot of cases. Trainers are made for the vanilla version of the game, if modded your on your own, but I would try cleaning out the work folders for the trainer, might help if it was previously working.

Delete trainer and all files in

Reboot PC to clear excess memory, get a fresh copy of latest trainer and extract it. Run trainer as admin, read the instructions and try again. At times, a new game may be needed to resolve failed options if the data in your save file was altered. Use on a new game and test the option. If it now works, quit to main menu and load your save and try it again. May also need to run the game without the trainer first and play a bit so the save file gets updated to use possible new values.

Trainer is working fine however there is an irritating issue. When I start the trainer the first thing I get is a pop up window that says "Whoops, no virus protection present" that disappears when I hit OK. Then a popup that says "No sound card present. Sound card required to run trainer" then it runs anyway. I have had several trainers that do this and still run so no big deal. The issue that is irritating is that after using the trainer and shutting it and the game down the trainer will not restart without rebooting the computer. It is showing in background processes in task manager but won't show up on desktop without reboot.
No mods.

You seem to have a systems issue, I would start with the system file checker and if that does not clean things up you will need to do a full system format and re-install. Not knowing your recent history of where you have been browser-wise and what you have done in regards to downloads, installs and un-installs, personally I would play it safe and wipe everything and start fresh.

Hi,

Downloaded the trainer on a brand new Windows 10 computer, using trainer manager.

Running the trainer displays the Windows "application choice request for '.temp' file type assocation' dialog box.

So, unable to use the trainer (same with manual download outside trainer manager).

Disable any AV you might have running, also check windows defender and make sure nothing is blocking the trainer, also run the trainer as Admin.

Already done, before posting my message on the forum.

In addition, i perfectly run several other CH trainers on this computer, so i'm sure the problem is with the trainer itself.

Extract trainer and make sure trainer/launcher/editor is in a folder excluded from virus scans. Empty quarantine folder if needed or set anything trainer related (paths and EXE's) to ALLOW. Disable any Live/Active/Real-Time tools which may trigger false positives in security software which may terminate the game/trainer when it's activated or options used.

may need to be added to exclusions as well. Run trainer as admin, read the instructions and try again.
