Tried that, I cant seem to get it to work, the value for the carry weight just reads 0.00 and changing it has no effect on what it displays nor my ability to add things to my inventory.
And you're running the trainer As Admin? Have you tried deleting it and getting a new copy?
You can file a Trainer Update Notification Report. It will take 3 reports to be evaluated. There's been 750 downloads but it doesn't look like there are any other reports yet.

Yes to both of those, I guess i will have to file an update thing, I was hoping to avoid that but as far as i can tell im not doing anything wrong. Everything works perfectly except that one feature. Maybe it has something to do with the fact i just got the game and it is a new save? as nismo said the old trainer the carry weight worked.

It has nothing to do with a new save. I've even tried that and on two different PC's and two different steam game accounts, my wife's and my own zero register of carry weight. I've played this game for over 6 months and never had an issue with previous trainers and updates. Cheers
