Do I understand correctly that this trainer is not for Definitive Edition?

    Have you tried it yet?

Good for health, bad for education.

I have tried the trainer on the Definitive Edition, and at least the Change Points options work, so I'm guessing the whole trainer works. I think there was a mistake in the naming of the trainer. It should say "(GOG + STEAM DEFINITIVE EDITION)".

No, as we purchased the Divine Edition back then (there's also an Eternal Edition). You cannot purchase the classic game version any more but only the Definitive Edition now.

Just to clarify to anyone reading this. There are actually only 2 Versions/Editions of the game. Classic and Definitive Edition. It can get a bit confusing as there indeed does exist Divine and Eternal Editions as well, but those are not different versions of the actual game, unlike the new Definitive Edition.

The Divine Edition includes art & music, and the Eternal Edition includes every single one of the Divinity games.

The Classic & Definitive Editions are basically an Original and Enhanced Edition of Divinity: Original Sin 2. However, unlike with DOS1, where there were actually 2 versions of the game in Steam Library: Classic & Enhanced Edition. DOS2 only has Divinity: Original Sin 2 in Steam Store and Library, and when you launch the game, you can choose which version to launch, Classic or Definitive Edition.

Not 100% sure what this means for trainers, but I'm assuming that the same latest trainer that is released only works for the Definitive Edition, and not the Classic version. Fortunately, as I understand it, the Classic version doesn't receive any more patches, unlike the Definitive Edition. So there should be 1 trainer & save editor for Classic, and updated as needed versions of the trainer and save editor for the Definitive Edition, the De Facto Divinity Original Sin 2.

Uriel718 is exactly right. It's a bit confusing, but take the time to just glance at ANY of the gaming news websites and you'll see.

Whatever version of Original Sin 2 you bought, PC users get the "Definitve Edition" upgrade for free. It's basically a 8GB+ update to the ORIGINAL title, in the form of a DLC, see this screenshot: Link

So, when you launch the game you select WHICH version of the game you want to play.
Much like the REMASTERED release of Homeworld, where you select Classic or Remastered.

For the trainers, we need to understand that there are now two seperate game executables:

    X:\steamapps\common\Divinity Original Sin 2\Classic\EoCApp.exe

Which is the original "Classic" game.
    File size is: 35.7mb
    Game version: 3.0.226.993

    and then..

    X:\Steam\steamapps\common\Divinity Original Sin 2\DefEd\bin\EoCApp.exe

Which is the executable for the "Definitive Edition" of the game.
    File size is: 44.2mb
    Game version: 3.6.28.9550

The game trainer itself HAS been updated, but I'm not sure they took any of this into account, as SOME of the trainer options are acting funky in the DEFINITY EDITION version of the game.

Such as "Infinite Health" actually setting everyones health to 1, making it so you're instantly killed the second you take damage.

I have not extensively tested all of the other options, but things like infinite armour, carry weight, fast speed, etc seem to be working as intended.

As for the save game editor, I know the GAME DEVS have stated quite clearly that the saves are different and incompatible between "Classic" and "Definitive" versions of the game.

Trying to load a "Definitive" save into the currently available save editor just crashes it.

At any rate, hope this clear up some confusion, and here hoping the Cheat Happens devs enjoy the new "Definitive Edition" enough to continue supporting the tools. Thanks!

Using the updated 8/31 trainer version, the following options are not working correctly:

    Multiple "Tags" at character creation
Infinite Health (Actually changes all Hero Characters HP to 1/Max making the party insta-killed by the enemies)

Change quantity of selected item seems to take a few tries in-game to recognize the most recently clicked/moved item (whereas previously it would work straight away) The only concerning end result is that it changes quantities of previously selected items (usually 2 clicks previous) which could result in heavy items or enchanted/magic items being duplicated (and increasing weight and time spent sorting them out)

The in-game-editor seems to work well.

As always, thank you for your hard work!

Oddly enough, during testing, the Tags in CC worked for me and I was able to select them all. The Inf. Health issue was present, though.

Yes I did. The only option I want is infinite health, yet when I turn it on, my health drops to 1 and I die if attacked.

Tested a Tags and it is not working as intended either. Seems like something meeses things up with this version. I would appreciate if the trainer was updated for Definitive version as well.
