I did. I downloaded for steam. Tried # 2, 3 and even # 4 (older version) just to see if it will work. Still no luck.

Extract trainer and make sure trainer/launcher/editor is in a folder excluded from virus scans. Empty quarantine folder if needed or set anything trainer related (paths and EXE's) to ALLOW. Disable any Live/Active/Real-Time tools which may trigger false positives in security software which may terminate the game/trainer when it's activated or options used.

may need to be added to exclusions as well. Run trainer as admin, read the instructions and try again.

Hi. I did as you suggested. I even removed internet security completely and still no luck. It says trainer cannot find game. I am at a loss. I am having the same problem with Civilization VI.

I just want to say I truly appreciate you help.

Going to put the entire check list below, As for Civ 6 you need to have Gathering Storm installed and enabled for that one to work. Post in that thread if you still have issues.

At times, a new game may be needed to resolve failed options if the data in your save file was altered. Use on a new game, quit to main menu and load your save and try it again.

Also remember when you uninstall a 3rd party anti-virus, Windows defender will take over and you need to add exclusions to that as well. Sometime you need to put the exclusions in both Windows Defender and whatever security software program you use.

Fresh install of game Steam 1.19 BUILD 801.0, using trainer #2 tried on both DX12 and DX12 not checked off. Activates fine for me. Being an older template trainer, if using a multiple monitor setup, if you do not use EXTEND THIS DISPLAY, the trainer may need to be on the same monitor as the game.

One question, I installed all my games, steam app, and trainer in i:\ drive. Not the C:\ drive. Does that matter?
