I just checked the latest trainer with the latest Steam version and it works perfectly fine, also remember the trainer was retired because of some members calling it pointless so enjoy it while it lasts I don't see this trainer getting an update anytime soon.

Is there any way to get Spore not on the permanently retired list? I am getting back into it and would love to be able to use the trainer that doesn't crash the game when used.

Thanks Eli. That's info members can use that only somebody that's tried it would know. 😉

The only way would be asking Caliber if he would approve either updating the trainer now or allowing it for voting by members.

The reality of it is that it depends on why it was retired in the first place. If those circumstances have changed then maybe it's possible. If they haven't changed then it's highly doubtful.

How can I ask Caliber? I don't mind if it has to be a vote instead, but I do want to be able to get the trainer updated because it crashes my game when I try to play with it on. It is useless sadly.

Honestly, it wouldn't do any good. The game was already unretired once back in March 2017 but they had a lot of trouble getting it to work after spending an entire day on it. Here's the reply I got back from PWiz back then:

Spore was never done as we tried for a whole day to get it to run on our machines and could not make it work. The expansion did run and we released an updated trainer for that today.
