I just want to give a quick shout out to everyone to be careful of the emails you get from Chu@cheathappens.com, (fake not real) I received an email stating I had a private message from someone asking if I had certain games and I, (being weary of just about any kind of email anyway) was just a little bit suspicious of it and instead of clicking the link, came here to check... nothing new here. So as I began checking the message source of the email and comparing it to ones I knew were from CH, I could tell a major difference.

In the message source, one specific line in the from section states (in the fake one)

Received: from HCHEATHAPPENS ([] (may be forged))

where as from a real CH email it states

Received: from Dingo ( [] (may be forged))

be very careful to look for this since in the real email i didn't have to scroll to find this portion, but in the fake email i had to scroll down a little to find it.

In short, if you receive a random "private message" email from someone you don't normally talk to on here... come to the site and check, do NOT click the link in the email as it will take you to a fake site.

I hope this helps everyone, including staff.

Chu@cheathappens.com is the actual address the emails from Cheathappens comes from thats for sure. I would advise you to email PWiz and nevermore.

This email was not forged or fake. We moved servers and this is our new one.

However, literally anyone can send an email to anyone else with whatever they want as the "FROM" user so it is always a good idea to be wary of emails from people you don't know. You can also check the links in the email, if they point to www.cheathappens.com and not some weird IP or fake URL then they are from us and should be safe. Just know we can't control who PM's who or the content so if you get something in question forward it to me for investigation.

Might be old but first rule about emails: Never click on any link. If any website wants something from you, type the address you know in the browser and do it there.

However it's interesting to see CH is that famous that it seems to be worth trying to trick other people with it.

As I said, I'm ALWAYS weary of emails rofl. Only reason I decided to even check the source was because it stated that it was a private message from the person but when I checked here, no one had pm'd me, so I started checking lol, also didn't know that "received from" line was from the old server also... good to know.

I have no problem with anyone pm'ing me... was just weird when I checked here there was none. Thank you guys for responding, if I wasn't already at 100% trust in this site... it would have made me with this. I don't just willy-nilly sign up for sites, let alone have I ever paid for a lifetime membership to one, but you guys have earned it a thousand times over.

also just realized I really worded my original message badly (facepalm). apologies for that also as it made it look like I was referring to the wrong stuff as fake.
