I finally got it to work Cypher, I am currently using bit defender. And even though I had disabled it on startup prior to running the trainer, it had thought that one of the previous tmp files was a virus. So it was blocking access to make any changes to the entire CHEATHAPPENS folder that is created, even after multiple restarts and deletion of the folder and all temp files. All is well again. I thank you very much for your assistance! 😀

so what exactly are they still patching in this game?

Not sure if this is a serious question or not, but this release 1.9.0 was mainly a minor bugfix release as well as a DLC drop.

The next big update (some time in 2018) will basically be a full rewrite of the game.

a single user has messaged me directly that the trainer crashes their game and is not working.

Is anyone else having this issue? It's November 12 and nobody has posted in days.

Paradox is aware of crashing and asking users to submit reports to them as of 8 days ago.

The most common crashes from back in April were due to drivers, using old saves with new patches and needing to reinstall the whole game after the patch itself.

I am not getting any crashes, even with the game updated to 1.9.1.

Energy/Minerals/Influence/Research (numpad 1-6) at least still work, I haven't yet been able to try (or need) the other options.

There seems to be problems with the Stellaris - Trainer 1.8.0 and the new 1.9.0 version as well. No matter what i try I can not download a copy of these trainers that will actually unzip to my hard drive. All the versions are working fine but not these too which is driving me loopy as they are now the 2 versions i have. It would be STELLAR ( see what i did there) if they could be fixed, Thanks guys and girls , i love your work

what anti-virus do you have, some setting must be blocking the exe.
