most legitimate players are being given the error too
and deleting your saves is dumb..it doesn't fix it they already tried

their servers are broken

for good measure, i deleted save and re-installed game. cleaned up registry too.

on re-install and new character, still got same message. appears to be account linked.

but i'm reading on various mediums that a lot of people, even those who claim not to use any cheats/trainers also getting the message.

so, honestly might not even be the trainer.

Yup.

I think this is a permanent online functionality ban applied to the steam account.

Oh well, it was a fun game while it lasted.

Never used any of the more invasive cheats, definitely didn't use anything while online/in matchmaking.

Same here, kept two saves. Already requested a refund since thousands of people were banned wrongfully.
Reddit's a ****storm right now, and I don't even care anymore. Namco-Bandai screwed up releasing the game 3 weeks before in Japan and now FROM screws up by banning a lot of people without reason.

I'm not even mad for myself because I actually could have done something to be worth a ban, but half - if not more - of the banned people haven't done nothing to deserve that.

where did u request a refund? banco or steam? i have more than 2hrs into the game already is it possible?

Through Steam Refunds. I have almost 50 hours, but I requested nevertheless, it's worth a try.

Anyone find away to get the numpad 9 option to the stop dying from the bubble eyed monsters curse? I can't advance in the extinguish 3 flames mission due to this.
