    Serious question:

I just recently got the Mass Effect Trilogy for Windows from Amazon.com, however, it was the EU version rather than the US version. Do the trainers for the respective games work on the EU versions, or are they exclusive to the US versions?

Yes. They work with both. Note that you will need either Origin or Steam to run it. There is some issues when using the game through origin but there is work around in the trainer thread.

If it's the trilogy set it's most likely Origin. ME 3 is only available on Origin. If you buy each individually you could get ME 1,2 on Steam and ME 3 on Origin. The only thing I am not sure of is if you could get a copy that is a standalone title without the need to log into either DRM platforms.

As far as I am aware the only thing that matters is what build number it is. As stated before. Region doesn't matter.
