I'll remove all local files of GoW and reinstall it. If I get the option, I'll install the English version of the game. Wish me luck...

I removed the game completely and did a fresh download on Steam. I only get the option to install the German version of the game.

The reinstalled game runs flawless without trainer.


I ran the trainer as Admin, F1 on main window gave me an Activated and trainer control color field turned green. I clicked on a kingdom and then on Explore to start a fight, but the game crashed this very instant.

I tried again, game crashed again.

I got an error msg in the Event Monitor, I attach the jpg. The msg is in German but you know the structure of the message information and should be able to figure out what the error is about.

Again, GemsOfWar.exe is the application causing the error, but this time, the msg mentions a completely different module as side kick culprit, some dll belonging to my ASUS mainboard's tuning suite software.

Same with the message I got on my second try, reproducing the crash.

Try disabling the Asus software/service. It could still also be related to you having the German version of the game.

We had another German user confirm that trainer works fine with German version. So, that's not it. Maybe you should create a new virtual PC instance and install nothing but Steam and the game and see if the trainer works. If it does then you know it's some other third party software interfering.

I FOUND A SOLUTION!

Before I started on the virtual PC thing, I first deactivated my Asus software and ran another test against the trainer and game. This time, the game crashed again, the culprit module the nt.dll in some Windows system folder.

Instinctively, I then tried changing the rights of the GemsOfWar.exe file to "Run as admin", along with the trainer exe.

This did it for me!

Now I could capture an enemy card in an Explore fight and the sweet voice of the trainer is talking to me again. I'd ask the guy out on a date if possible ... 😀

I am just wondering would it be possible to have like a instant kill feature instead of having to reduce armor and HP to zero first, then having to damage the troop to kill them.

And as for the Low Shield. In the description for that it states gives unit 99, in this case it removes all of the armor.

Reason why I am saying this is to make it a bit more efficient.

I download the game with STEAM and the version of game is the last (2.2).
I have desactivate firewall and all you say.
