Gems of War Discussion
Trainer Tools and Resources
I just tried running everything with my AV completely off and the browser cache cleared - after the initial Activated on main menu, I do not get any audible messages from the trainer anymore. In any kind of fight (Explore, Challenge etc. ) It didn't crash today though as it did yesterday.
What could prevent the trainer from working in that way if it is obviously not my AV?
I don't believe I got banned by Steam, the game works fine without the trainer. If Steam would have any countermeasures against trainer injections, they would use it generally, wouldn't they?
And as I said - the GoW trainer(s) worked perfectly for me for almost a whole year now, just until this Steam server outage and the necessary latest update.
So, what's wrong? :-(
It's not Steam that will block you, but as I said earlier: the game devs!
Go to Administrative Tools and choose Event Viewer, in Critical look for your trainer (as it's specifically your CH username).
Tell me what you found.
I add a jpg of my whole posting with error msgs I detected in the Event Monitor. I tried to post the full text here, but the forum funtion banned me from posting it even though I tried to loosen up the code by adding spaces and empty lines.
Please let me know if you need anything else, e. screenshots of the error msgs in the Event Monitor window.
Sorry, I do not have access to any file downloaded to CH, I'm like you, a member of Cheat Happens dot com with no special "abilities".
Earlier today, I launched the trainer as admin, launched GoW, pressed F1, got Activated. Then I clicked on a kingdom (Weißhelm, sth. like White Helmet(s)in English version? I use the German game version), clicked on Explore and before I even got to start a fight and try to capture an enemy, the game crashed.
The message I found under Windows Protocols - Application in the EvMon lists the GoW game exe as app causing an error, module causing trouble and path to this module is unknown.
This morning, when I ran the trainer and game with AV off, I got a similar application error message, which stated the module causing the error is CH . dll, located under (User Name) , AppData , Local , Temp
During the last few days, the Event Monitor logged several of these error msgs relating to my fruitless tries to get the trainer to work.
The app causing the error is always GemsOfWar.exe, only the name and path of the module causing the error varies from said CH.dll to
... steamapps , common , Gems of War , Adobe AIR , Versions , 1.0 , AdobeAIR.dll
... Windows , SysWOW64 , nt . dll
... Windows , SysWOW64 , SHELL32 . dll
I got ONE mg (the very first in the row of them all) stating the trainer exe as app and module causing the error.
Does that tell you something?
I do hope, however, that you'll find a clue in the attached game exe
Sorry, I checked with Caliber and he said that this exe doesn't contain any data. Apparently this whole game gets written on-the-fly to random areas.
Are you using the German version of the game? If so, it's possible that your game is different than everyone else due to the strict gaming laws in that country. Otherwise I have no idea why it seems to work for everyone but you.
