Also, is it actually single player? Like the request for a trainer is a valid one? Or is it only hosted on servers? I was a little confused by some of the reviews on steam I saw. Thanks for reading and any comments. Much obliged.
Fair warning though, at the moment it's badly optimized and runs terribly.
Bought it 3 days ago and so far, despite some optimization issues, as stated above, it is fun to play.
You can easily setup your own server, there is a wiki with simple steps to achieve this. You may choose to make it a single player server by simply setting the max number of players to 1 and protect it with a password. You may also make it a server for you and your friends to play in coop (pvp is an option) or go for a full pvp experience (probably somewhat like Rust).
Now about the issues, there are a ton of them, but it's in alpha so nothing really unexpected. Loading time is quite long, sometimes you may experience lag spikes of a few seconds. My friends and I noted that spawning a building or any object into the world may cause such lag.
Would I recommend this game ? If you like the sandbox type and want a decent action gameplay, go for it
The developpers are showing a very deep involvement and keep patching the game VERY often (already 4 patches so far), each time improving some of the issues mentionned. The content is surprising for such a recent alpha, meaning there is a lot to explore/craft/upgrade. Of course it needs more but if they keep going like this, I wouldn't worry.
I hope this gives you a better idea about this game
just wait until its completed... this game is not to be trusted on how they updated it... its EA and well you know the drill....
