    Guys, your first hint was Ubisoft.

    Pretty much. Ubisoft's entire PC porting department is made up of the pizza delivery boys that deliver to their offices, and are subsequently abducted and indoctrinated into their rank and file. They have one terminal to do their work on between them and must fight to the death every Monday, with the last man standing being that week's sole programmer. They are also encouraged to use this sole terminal as both their weapon for the fight to the death as well as their sustenance for the week they are locked in their "office."

    They also don't get benefits, and their lack of motivation really shows in the so-called "finished products" they put out. Looking at you, Conviction/Blacklist/From Dust/Future Soldier/Assassin's Creed III-IV/EVERY ED THING ELSE

    This is stupid. The game ran relatively smoothly with a mix of high/ultra settings on day 1. I took a break after a few hours then when I loaded it again it started to stutter so I switched everything to low but that didn't even remotely resolve the problem.
    Now as the days have gone by the stuttering has literally been getting worse, how is that even ing possible!? The game hasn't been patched, no new or modified code for the game to execute. Is this the starting of advanced AI? Software the changes on its own? Disabling SLI doesn't work either for those inclined to try and the problem persists regardless of windowed, boarderless or fullscreen...

    I have the same problem, when I barely installed it, updated my vid card and was running everything on ultra no problem, then when I tried to play yesterday everything changed, with stuttering and fps drop. My temporary solution for me was changing the textures from ultra down to high-med. I sure hope ubi releases a patch to fix this.

    I've yet to have any problems with the game. Running smooth and been online since 6am day of the launch. Played 4+ hours of running around and getting invaded. Such an amazing game thus far. Great plot!

    Just a fyi, this isnt a port. It's a an awesome looking PC game, taken away, mutilated then given back to PC users so console's can play it =/

    Honestly, from what I've both seen and experienced, there is almost no way that this was actually designed for PCs. There is no sane person on the planet that would make a game for PCs that isn't a port with mandatory mouse smoothing that can't be fully turned off, even with manual modification of the config file. Plus, if you have an AMD GPU (like myself), you're basically ****ed because of the NVidia-exclusive optimizations that it uses. For example, I have a pretty beefy AMD GPU (R9 290x) and it simply cannot run at a playable framerate at Ultra, and chugs at 40-50 FPS with High graphics.

    Here's what I don't get, so many people complain about it being optimized and a console port...but if you sift through the config files and look at the tech used in rendering, you can tell it was designed for a PC first, then dumb-ed down for consoles.

    The fact it's default config is below it's max;
    the fact that it uses rendering tech such as HBAO+ that
    you can't even init on even a PS4 due to the lack of GPU power,
    and the fact that it seamlessly switches from mouse+keyboard to a windows controller (not a MS one either.)

    My system isn't the latest and greatest of graphic cards, but I run at about 55 fps and I haven't had a single hiccup or drag and I play on custom/ultra settings. I even went into my config file and changed the texture loading to "PC" which doubles the loaded resolution.

    Now...I'm not biased, I understand people like barrow who have and AMD card get screwed because it's designed around tech NVidia made...but I've played games on system where have one card or the other meant it would crash and not even start. NVidia is using new methods AMD isn't yet. (Well the latest cards yes...but it's not ubiquitous as with Nvidia.)

    The problem with the game I feel lies in opinion, it's too different for a lot of people, and it's very system intense. But if you look at the requirements in steam, it's not as if they didn't warn anyone. I like it far more than I did GTA V and really enjoy it.
    Grammar and punctuation is the difference between; "I helped my uncle, Jack, off a horse." ...and... i helped my uncle jack off a horse.

    i am seriously considering reselling my collectors edition instead of using it myself, after reading here, and on Uplay/steam forums

    it seems that every iceberg of problems that this game could hit, it did, and then some
