IS everyone getting the right trainer as there are 2 different latest versions.
1. Resident Evil 4 HD Trainer 1.0.6 DE (09.17.2017)
&
2. Resident Evil 4 HD Trainer 1.0.6 (09.17.2017)
The DE trainer is for the EU low violence version (DE = German).
I just installed this for the 100th time, only to discover that it's still working for STEAM. sigh. I uninstalled it yet again. This is getting expensive as I am using up bandwidth and GB totals from my ISP going back to the same titles repeatedly over and over.
This game will likely be retired soon, as it's been nothing but troublesome (for whatever reason) and I am repeatedly able to make the trainer work fine here. One of the trainers likely works already for your version.
best,
Cal
Hi Cal,
Thanks for your efforts, and I (along with other users, I am sure) appreciate it to the core.
I have downgraded my game version to the previous version, and I am using an old trainer for it. It is working fine since yesterday.
However, if you are keen to know why a few people have different versions, I would highly recommebd you to check this out - steamdb.info/depot/254704/manifests/ -> That is the latest release according to steam, 4 months ago.
If you go here - steamdb.info/app/254700/depots/ -> you can find the list of updates for RE4 and the most common ones are WW release (4 years ago) and German / Japanese) release -> They all work with your trainers. And also the Test release at the very last - which is what a few people are getting by default.
If you think it is worth the time and effort to try this out and create trainer, I request you to do so. Else I am fine, because I understand the time and effort that goes into this, and the people affected by this is small.
Thanks and cheers.
I am simply clicking install on my STEAM. I cannot be trying to install 15 versions of this from my steam platform, using the CONSOLE DEVELOPER MANIFEST system to try and placate people who have the non-violent Japanese hentai version or whatever else for a game that is this old and whatnot.
The trainer works and has been working for this game for a long time. I just tested it again to make sure.
We may just retire it to prevent continued confusion, especially if the problem is that there is 10 different regional versions of the game for whatever stupid reason.
best,
Cal
