Resident Evil 4 HD Message Board  

I ended up just returning the game to steam before my return window was up. Was only $5 so maybe if i just wait for the next time its on sale the version numbers will match or maybe another update will hit to sync things up for me. It just wasn't meant to be this time around.

Well, Trainer update got denied, because both current versions of the game and trainer are matching for just about everyone at CH and users here. Seems just myself and a couple others are having issues getting it to work. Gonna try one more fresh download from steam and give it a go. If not, im sure we can figure out what i could be doing wrong. Ive use a TON of CH trainers all the time, so i know the ropes, but maybe its something particular in this instance. Ill let yaal know how it goes this time around. Maybe i'll do a file verification first or somesuch. Wish me luck! lol

Yup, still having everything this guy is decribing to a T. Does anyone know somewhere i can DL the 1.0.6 version of Bio4.exe instead of my unique 1.0.0RELEASE_DEV.0 version? Again, this latest try was with a fresh DL of RE4 HD (the ONLY one available on steam) and a fresh DL of the 1.0.6 (non DE) Trainer. AV off, everything run as an admin. Trainer activated sound at menu, on verification sound in game. everything else just as decribed in the quoted post. Im determined to get this thing working for me!

OK, i managed to find an original release 1.0.10983.1 bio4.exe that isnt hacked, virused, or otherwise effed up. So I tried the original release trainer and of course now that version of the trainer wont detect that im online and is oblivious to my offline key. If ANYONE here knows where i can get a 1.0.6 version of the bio4.exe that works with the current trainer, PLEASE PM me the link, I REALLY want to play this game with a trainer!

Did you exclude the trainer exe file in your security software from any scans and granted online access for the authentication process and not just disable it?

Yes, I use the trainer manager and keep all my trainers in the same folder with it and have that entire folder ignored by the AV.

Edit: Ya know what, its actually connecting now. Guess it just needed the system to restart. Time to try it out and see if i can finally put all this behind me.

Well, that's the AV side of it but does the trainer has access to the internet or is it blocked by any firewall rule?

OK! I got it working! Replacing the existing bio4.exe with (link removed) and grabbing the original trainer version has it working!
