there's been no update. the trainer likely still works. the instructions are important
best,
Cal
Cal is trying to help you all, I have been playing this game with the long war mod, and bare bones, both trainer and editor both work fine.
I'm even running windows 10 which I have no idea why it still works on 10 but it does.
Verified on another PC that runs 7, and this ran on 8 and 8.1 as well.
The devs for this game gave up a long long long time ago, no update in forever and no update will be made for it in the future.
the instructions are VERY important and must be followed EXACTLY. I tested EVERY option and they work fine, if one option doesn't work its on your end, not the trainers.
1. Read ALL the instruction, don't just skim
2. Make sure you got the correct version not a older version or a version not for the one you need.
3. Deactivate ALL AV and firewall assests, windows defender likes to block as well so turn it off.
4. if all else fails reread the instructions.

Anyway to get the Barracks edit option back? What would i have to do to get these options? Id like to edit my soldiers the way id like them to be and then go play a battle not give them unlimited moves like the current working trainer allows. .
Barracks Aim
Barracks Defense
Barracks Rank
Barracks Kills
Barracks Willpower
Add Money

they are in the trainer, not the editor. Those options are still there and they still function, take a long read through the instructions with the trainer it will tell you how to get them to work.

Ok so it definitely works on Windows 10?
I guess it's a problem on my end then... though I can't figure out what it is???
I have no issue with any other trainer... like I said, I can get the editor to work just fine most of the time (occasinally has issues with threat levels and meld, similar to what Scr0g said)
I'm pretty sure I have the correct version (I have steam so I assume it's the latest version) I went into xcom enemy unknown folder > XEW > Binaries > Win32 > right clicked on XComEW.exe and checked the file version. It says 1.0.0.9040
I tried placing the trainer in that directory. I don't know what else I need to try 🤔
I have no AV and have tried turning off windows defender also. Maybe I have some other program interfering but can't figure out what it could possibly be... as the Windows 10 installation is still pretty fresh.
I'm gonna go read through the entire readme again to make sure I haven't missed anything

Can you tell me what the trainer is doing, is it loading at all? if it loads does it work on some of the options or none of them?
Is the game running through steam or do you have it on disk?
Any and all info would help.
Also try this, if the trainer is running, and when you click f1 to activate and it says activated, go into the world map where the market is, activate the money cheat, back out to the full base view, wait till it says deactivated, and go back in, your money should increase by 10,000 each time you do this.
Main thing with this is the instructions, learning exactly how the trainer works with this game is the key.
Same with changing soldiers stats, in the barracks find the soldier you want to enhance, now click on the arrow that changes soldiers, say one click to the left, activate the aim option, you will hear activated, move one click to the right, back to the soldier you wanted to enhance, and you will hear deactivated, once that is done test it by clicking the + button on the number pad five times, change soldiers again, one to the left, then back to the one you wanted to change and the aim should have increased by five. That works with every barracks option on the trainer.
hope that helps.
