Say, does the barrack editing work for anyone here? I appreciate any information on that function.

Not trying to patronize you but make sure to read the instructions thoroughly, it's a pretty complex process compared to a lot of trainers since you have to go through individual soldiers and select them, then the value you want to edit, then adjust the value positively or negatively... I'll double check to see, but it's sophisticated enough that it might be worth reading over the trainer instructions again just to be sure that you're not missing a step.

I can't seem to get Elerium or Alloy to work with either key. That being said, what does work is a nice boost.
And while it unlocks the skill tiers, the Barracks editing for ranks seems to not actually trigger the rank change.

So I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, I have all my A/V disabled. I am able to load the trainer, after I load the game it always says 'Trainer cannot find game'. Any thoughts?

This is going to sound dumb so bear with me and apologies if it's just absolutely ground level, but you are using the correct version of the game, right? This trainer will not work for the original XCom without expansion, or if you load it up in non-Enemy Within mode at the launcher.
Apart from that, you really need to run this as an administrator, which isn't too uncommon and is generally just a good idea for CH trainers but in this case is virtually a necessity because of the way Firaxis manages memory allocation. They do some weird stuff, and I am surprised (pleasantly so, mind you!) that Cal was able to get a trainer out as quickly as he did given the peculiarities of this game's memory management.

I checked and I do have Enemy Within registered to my steam account. I did try running it as administrator and I've tried running it before/after loading the game. I deleted my XCOM game and I'm installing it, will try again tomorrow
Edit: Looks like other people are having the same issue where none-Steam obtained keys aren't downloading

Hi!
Slight issue similar to problems I had with XCOM Enemy Unknown. Trainer detects game and activates, but fails to do anything.
As per usual, I have tried multiple combinations of launching the game first, and launching the trainer first, I have followed instructions in battle (Num 1 to modify Health, Num+, Num-, and Num* fail to do anything, but as soon as Num1 deactivates, the audio confirmation can be heard when any of the modifier keys are pressed).
In HQ i get audio confirmation of money/scientists/engineers/alloys/elerium/meld, but no actual increase in value despite any attempts to get the UI to refresh the numbers.
Verified integrity of game cache, I have done a fresh install (cleared out game directory as well to remove any mods i may have installed). I have no AV installed and no Firewalls active, and the trainer is running with administrator permissions, please advise.
Steam Enemy Unknown+Within.

Don't know what to tell you - all options appear to be working 100% for me. I did purchase the expansion on Steam, I don't know what other sites sell it (I thought it was a Steamworks title?). It can be tricky and the instructions need to be followed to the letter thanks to some silly protections put in by the developers Firaxis to try to stop cheating (lol, why), but it is working very well for me. I hope you can get it figured out for you.
