Hi everyone,
First post ever...
tModLoader now exists and I recently got back into the game, but the trainer doesn't seem to be able to find the game .exe
This is because the process is named differently?
Is there any way to activate the trainer for tModLoader since it's the same game?
Many thanks and of course, if it isn't possible all good 😘
tmodloader is a different executable, plus it isn't updated to the current version of Terraria.
As an aside, why does the description for the trainer still indicate that the Item ID change option still exists when it doesn't? It's too bad it doesn't, as it is very helpful.

it was removed because someone posted that it was useless and didn't work.

We can't possibly make a trainer for every executable version of this game, and especially since the code is .net driven and may compile differently with different loaders, etc.
NO

The option is still listed in the trainer description. What if I told you that I was using 1.4.0.4 trainer that has this option and it does work for me. Not every item is recognized, but many are, and I can just change the id to what I want it to be anyway. I'm also still using the 1.4.0.2 trainer that has the unlimited potion use option which still works perfectly (so far) for me.
PWizard does not modify the instructions each time and doesn't always know when we remove options.
Go take it up with the guy who posted it doesn't work, then let me know if you come to a consensus, because I don't want further postings about it working/not working once I've decided to add or remove it. I'd rather leave it off and not have to provide support for it if there is people saying it doesn't work.
I was told it changes the way the item looks, but it operates as the old item or doesn't work like the new item should, or whatever. There is approximately 1028 items in the game. I certainly don't have time to test them all, and terrarria is but one of the 15000 games i work on here.
