Though it's just likely that CA is simply working through masses of bug fixes and releasing hotfixes to determine if what they're doing is helping or hurting, it really does seem like that specifically screw with CheatHappens sometimes.
It's actually a "pleasant bonus" for SEGA/CA (from their perspective) that their patching is screwing with the CheatHappens (CH) and CoSMOS (CE) communities...
They are hotfixing problems for players in general to address performance, stability, and gameplay issues of course, but the fact that the re-compiled executable is no longer compatible with existing trainers is simply a happy accident of sorts.
Keep in mind however, SEGA has a long and storied history of purposely screwing with their modding community, as well as the larger CH and CE communities to make their work obsolete. One need only look at the recent release of Company of Heroes 2 for a current and glaring example of just that...
On the bright side, the development house staff will be divested/reassigned more and more over time into other projects as the game ages. This will of course take several months to get beyond the "immediate support" horizon, but once that happens updates and general tampering to mess with the community will diminish sharply.
wait, did the game patch?
That's correct, PW. There were two patches today. A 20MB one, then a smaller 11MB one. Not sure what the first was for, but the second was to fix the "red sky" skybox bug (I think).
Considering the community outrage at CA for releasing the game as it is, there's going to be HEAPS of these small patches which unfortunately bork the CH trainer. Frustrating.
