There will be no more trainer updates for future versions of the game except they started to add a full offline single player experience to the game.

We do not want our customers to have their steam account banned. The usage of the trainer is on your own risk now.

So will there be any future trainers for the offline single player? And will the latest trainer "8.7" work with it?

Yes, apparently it is that hard. Seems to be a lot of that going around lately.

A lot of people post from page 1 without reading.

I don't understand why the trainer would be abandoned on account of VAC being made available. VAC is just an optional feature that each server owner may or may not enable at his or her discretion.
I agree that it would be unwise to use the trainer on a VAC enabled server, but on your own server(if VAC is disabled) or offline seems like it would be fine.

I also notice that the latest trainer has stopped working, and we didn't get a game update that I am aware of since the last time that it worked. With F1 I get "trainer activated" and when I hit number pad 1 - 4, I just get another "trainer activated" after a short pause and none of the features work. Is it just me or are others experiencing this?

Never mind on that last one, somehow my number lock got turned off
