The reason the trainers are wrongly flagged is because of a few bytes difference from known virus code strings, the heuristic system kicks in just in case the file is a variant of a known virus.
Now if a AV doesn't do this at any time you have it, whether it is trainers, etc then be worried then.
Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

I am using avira antivir free, since its a hassle to exclude each and every trainer, which are catched by avira, i made a new folder and excluded this whole folder in avira, i then placed the most trainers i am using in that folder, and start them from there.
