I have exactly the same problem, when I press F1 activated trainer, but then nothing happens more.
run trainer with admin priviledges? it's tested working here.

Tried "run as admin". No difference, hung state once first key pressed. Restored old copy of steamapps, no difference. Tested with 14354, 14376, 14440 versions, all perform the same.
Strange but the very first time I ran the trainer it worked perfectly once only.
Something on your system is interfering. Disable/uninstall all AV, firewall and other security software.
Yep, you are correct.
Looks like the update that came down for Microsoft Security Essentials on Thursday doesn't like you. It does not report you as an issue, but it does prevent the memory changes.
Disabling Real Time protection allows trainer to run.
