hmm well I will test if the cheat works in the morning, I am have not tried it with the latest patch

but if it still works it should be the same, just find a tax, Pet tax, gun tax both of these worked in the past.

click on the tax so you can set how much you wish the tax, get CoSMOS working

set the Search to float as thats were the code is located.

go back to the game, change the percentage of tax by 1 but don't accept. Go back to CoSMOS, look for 1.
go back to game change it to 2, then back to CoSMOS, search for 2. Keep doing this, but word of warning, IF say with gun tax, (not every country is like this) and you can't set the tax higher then say 10%, then that means you can't set the search higher then 10, so in this case keep searching for 1, 2-9 but don't go over 10 if you do you will need to start over.

Once you find it, set the tax on CoSMOS tax to say 999999
go back to game, just click on the + and it should then change to how much you set on the CoSMOS (hopefully)

I will test it my self in the morning to make sure it works, if it does I will let ya know.

ok I just tried it with pet taxs, and it still worked perfectly, I for got to add two points though, if your a country were you need to get it through Parliament you will still have to deal with trying to get it though (just bribe someone) Second, not always, but some times, for some reason when your searching for the number, say you searching for 1.0% tax, on CoSMOS it will actually come out as 0.99999 and so you may fail to find it, so if you can not find the number do a search for a value between

1.1 and 0.8 that way you wont miss it.

I also forgot to add, once the tax goes through you will have to often wait a week to see the results on to the next part, remember, once you set the tax this high and you get it through, you will get an increase of unemployment.
To counter this you can do the industry cheat/bug

make sure that on the clock it is 8am pause the game.
Go to farming, set the subsidy of all activity's to 999999 (max)
then go to industry do the same, service and energy, then unpause the game, but do not let the time go past 23 if you do your country will go to ****, so at 20 hours, pause the game again.
Go through Farming, industry, service, and energy removing your subsidy.

if your a poor country this WILL remove you from poor status =P and you will probably see your unemployment % cut in half, you might even see a massive increase in growth, if you do and your inflation starts sky rocketing, go in to currencies and set interest rate to max 20%. it will take a year or two to settle down, once it has, wait an till inflation is back at say 2 or 3% then lower interest rate back down to 1 or 2%. I managed to edit the memory for the pet tax.

I got it working last night, did not save it.
Now today I am trying the exact same thing and I cannot make it work ?

Can you see any reason for this ?
