my pre-order came in early at game mania so they told me i could come fetch it.

Hehe; i would like a total war set during the World war 2. I mean; why not??? it would work well? i thought that after Napoleon, they would do world war 1, then 2. I guess the Total War series are all ment to be set a large amount of time in the past. Sure; its fun to learn old history while playing; but i also want to see a new face on the Total War stories... something modern.

ive been dyin to find out an WW1 game with mass trench warfare,

Charge,countercharge, charging, countercharge, hiding, attilery,
gas attacks,

on mass scale. mass charges, barbed wires. stuff like that.

i have heard rumors of a possible rome 2 total war in the future, but that will probably be a while since this game just came out lol. if there were an expansion to this game, what would it be because the shogunate Japan was very isolated during the 16th century, and there was not external expansion or foreign invasion of Japan as far as i know. In addition, the imperialism of the western european powers never showed up in Japan until the emperor, during 1867 , signed a treaty to open up the ports to outside foreigners, which he was trying to modernize Japan but ended throwing the shogunate out of power...srry too much history for u guys? lol oh and then Katsumoto and Tom Cruise get wrecked by the imperial army

There is a Napoleon TW Mod on Total War Center for WW1, it's called The Great War mod (TGW). It's released but it is a work in progress, no trenches as of yet but they are working on it.

I would love a R2:TW, and I would love a TW game focusing on the Waring States period as well. Empire and Napoleon sucked big time!

Bring back the swords, spears, and shields!!! Castles! CASTLES! For mother's piece pie-cake, I want C-A-S-T-L-E!!!!

Honestly I doubt WW1 or WW2 would make very good games. WW1 would be like taking all of the mechanics that people hates in Empire and making them the focus of the game. As for WW2 it may have been a war of massive scale but aside from the various landings the majority of war was fought as small unit actions.

And besides, don't we have ENOUGH WW2 games floating around? I'd rather play a game set in a Historical period that doesn't see much screen time.
