To those who haven't played this one I thought I'd type down a rough "review" of the game, though this is merely my thoughts about the game

I was a tad sceptic about this game when I read about it for the first time, but after testing the demo last night I got to say it's not that bad for a game.

Graphics are pretty sweet, though no new Crysis in any ways. However, you don't need a monster machine to play it, which to me is a good thing.

Gameplay is more or less solid, with a few downsides that are just bugging the crap out of me. Though I don't know if it's just the demo or not, but sometimes just walking up some stairs with the gun aimed is a no go. Crawling or walking over rocks is also very often a no go.

The sniping bit was the part I was sceptical about. Now I just loved Sniper Elite with the long distance shots, bullet cam and having to counter the distance to target and movement. This game does a pretty good job with it, nice bullet cam mode and I do see certain gauges that indikates you need to take both wind and distance into consideration Though I would have prefered the option to add and remove silencers at will, but all in all this part is quite solid.

The missions, I have to say, are pretty solid with a little sneaking around to get from A to B. You don't get too much help which adds to the fun of the game, though you could need a little patience now and then, hehe. Thank the lord for quicksaves. This one meter in the HUD where you can see your stance also show how much an enemy can see you, when it's filled up and goes red they know where you are and open fire (often with alarms going off). Bothering element is that when you lay in the bushes or tall grass, the enemy can still see you. Even from long distances and you're wearing a ghillie suit, so it's a major downside for me.

All in all, I'm liking this game more and more, in fact I've just ordered the full game and I'm not downloading a pirate version to test it

I would recommend this game to others, though this again is only my opinions of the game. I think it's a solid game with a few bugs and glitches that are annoying, but the goodies of taking down an enemy at looong distances with the sweet bullet cam makes the game fun. Love just finding a spot, quicksave and snipe enemies for fun regardless of alarms and mission fail

You may have a crappy experience with City Interactive and their older games and yes, I have played some of the old games my self. Marine Shooter, Royal Marines Commando and so on and I snapped those DVDs in half

Sniper: Ghost Warrior. I like it.

Note: This is the first time I've actually written a "review" of sorts, won't mind feedback people Also cool if you've noticed the same bugs and downsides in the game and post them here, kinda fun to read

Well mate i have to agree with you on that one. It seems that the enemies can spot you way easier than you can spot them which makes the game really really hard at times. I mean you are a camouflaged sniper, and you are crawling behind a rock, and they are a mile away, and they are not even looking directly your way, and they can see you!!! Damn! i think it's a bug! It's really annoying having to crawl for 500 feet all the way through the level (which takes about , i don't know, a week!!). Okay, i can go with the whole "it's a sniper game man not a running-around-shooting-everything-kill-fest" but i should be able to move around the targets with ease, to choose angles and hiding spots....

Hehehe, thanks for kind words and glad to hear it's not just me who thinks the game is slightly off at some points I only got to test the demo though, could be that the full version (maybe with updates) would be better

And City Interactive doesn't really have a too good and solid physics/movement/gameplay thingie in their games. Try Marine Shooter series or the Royal Marines Commando

If its a product from a small dev like City Int... then don't have so big hype or high expectation... since its will surely just a so so game (a B max or C grade game at most)

As long as its still have quick save feat + doesn't have bugs as many as Empire Total War or C&C TW 3... its still an OK game

Don't disagree with you there dude, besides, this game is way better than any of the other games I've tried from their production line

If it just wasn't for the whole "we-see-you-in-the-bush-even-with-camo-from-a-mile-away" thing!

I am enjoying the game sofar. There are afew irritating bits such as being spotted easier then i would of expected. I read a review somewhere stating the AI was good but, alas, it isn't. The ai is inconsistent. An example of this is shooting someone who is standing infront of someone else. He drops dead and the other guy just stands there oblivious.

Maybe the 1.1 version of the game fixes these things but since GamersGate nor the internet at large seems to have a patch...

I would recommend the game, however. It's fun aslong as you don't expect the world from it.

Now I've played the full version game with updates and fixes, sad to say that most of the annoying things still stand :/ However annoying things might be, I still think this is a good game. I think it's rather enjoyable and the do have the concept going. This is a kind of game I've been waiting for, where you have to consider distance, wind, breathing and so on. They are on the right track, no doubt, just need to keep building!

First time around I'm saying this, but City Interactive made a good game that I wouldn't mind recommending to others
